RRC - Pipeline Safety Field Inspector IV, Region 4 (Central Texas)

The Railroad Commission of Texas is hiring a Pipeline Safety Field Inspector IV to conduct pipeline safety evaluations and investigations in Region 4, Central Texas. The inspector will determine whether pipeline operators comply with safety rules and regulations and perform site visits to ensure pipeline operations comply with safety requirements.

Requirements

• Extensive overnight travel of 50% or more
• Daily and overnight travel includes completing inspections and investigations, and attending mandatory pipeline safety training, both in-state and out-of-state
• Performing timely inspections and consistently reporting findings
• Must have scheduling flexibility to be on call as needed to respond to emergency situations and conduct incident and accident investigations
• Completing and submitting weekly inspection reports; incident reports; and administrative reports
• Operating a state-issued vehicle with extensive driving and field work
