Job Description
The Railroad Commission of Texas is seeking a Pipeline Safety Field Inspector to perform technical fieldwork related to pipeline safety operations in Region 2. The inspector will conduct pipeline safety evaluations and incident and accident investigations, ensuring compliance with applicable natural gas and hazardous liquids pipeline safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Graduation from a standard senior high school or G.E.D.
- Four years' relevant work experience (Qualifications within the Preferred Qualifications may be substituted for work experience).
- A valid Texas Driver's License.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with occasional flexible hours, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions; climb and stoop; reach low and high; crawl in cramped quarters; lift or move up to 50 pounds, and walk/stand outside for considerable amounts of time.
- Proficiency in the use of computer systems utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
