Join TCEQ as a Hydrologist IV and contribute to the protection of Texas' public health and natural resources. This senior-level position involves advanced reviews of surface water right applications, utilization of Water Availability Models, and expert communication with stakeholders and the public.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hydrology, engineering, geology, mathematics, or natural or physical science
- Six years of full-time experience in hydrologic work, or five years with a master's degree, or four years with a doctorate
- Experience with Texas statutes, rules, and policies for surface water rights
- Experience working with Texas surface water rights
- Experience using Water Availability Models (WAMs) and/or surface water simulation models
- Experience working with surface-water hydrologic data
- Experience working with databases and Excel
- Experience using GIS (ArcGIS PRO)
