The Field Robotics Engineer at Carbon Robotics is responsible for ensuring customer success via successful implementation and support of Carbon Robotics Equipment. The role involves owning, scheduling, and prioritizing maintenance tasks on the Laser Weeder, training of operators, and acting as a liaison to engineering and product departments.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in agriculture working with growers, farming equipment, and HVAC desired
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
- HVAC experience
- Proficient in brazing and soldering for copper and refrigeration lines
- Experience with residential or commercial refrigeration systems
- Sales acumen with ability to deliver compelling demonstrations and address technical questions from prospective growers about our products to facilitate a sale
- Excellent people skills that allow you to develop rapport and build trust with growers and dealers
- Mechanically inclined; Able to troubleshoot and fix problems with Carbon Robotics Laser Weeding equipment
- Computer literate and capable of installing and updating software, uploading logs and tagging images
- Flexible and adaptable; effective in a startup environment with limited resources
- Comfortable driving a truck and trailer to transport equipment to grower fields for demos and deliveries
