Job Description
Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. (CPC) is seeking an Able-Bodied Seaman (AB) to join their team aboard the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) research vessel, the R/V Lake Guardian. This role involves performing routine maintenance, operating vessel systems, and assisting with navigation and crew duties. The vessel supports the EPA's mission of assessing Great Lake water quality and ecosystem health.
Requirements
- Hold a USCG Merchant Mariners AB Certification with firefighting and life boatman endorsements.
- Must hold a current TWIC card.
- Must be a member, or willing to become a member of the International Organization of Masters, Mates, and Pilots union.
- Must be able to work collegially with scientists, natural resources managers, and educators.
- Must have a valid US state issued driver’s license.
