Job Description
The Assistant Engineer role involves providing support in the safe and efficient operation of vessel engineering systems. This includes assisting with maintenance, repair, operation, and monitoring of propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary systems, adhering to safety regulations and contributing to team collaboration. The position is a 30-day on-30-day off rotation.
Requirements
- Must be an assistant engineer (limited) or chief engineer of steam, motor, and/or gas turbine-propelled vessels
- Experience operating and maintaining propulsion machinery
- Participation in planned maintenance activities
- Adherence to safety procedures
- Inventory management and documentation
