Job Description
The Charge Nurse is responsible for assisting the Nursing supervisor in patient care and management of the nursing unit, including administrative duties and supervising STNA's.
Requirements
- Valid Nursing license in the state where the facility is located
- Responsible for meeting the state required continuing education hours per licensure period
- Good physical and mental health
- Have a sincere desire to work with elderly
- Must be willing to perform non-professional duties
- Must be level-headed and take or give direction in an emergency situation
- Must be able to place the patient needs above own desires or judgement
- Must always serve as a patient advocate
