Job Description
This Casual position within the Food Services department of Carewest is for a Cook I with no certification. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, preparing and cooking meals according to diet plans and Carewest standards, and ensuring quality control techniques. The position requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to professional conduct.
Requirements
- Graduation from Grade 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Graduate of a Food Safe Course.
- Red Seal certification (asset).
- Minimum 2 years of cooking experience.
- Experience with a cook chill/freeze system (asset).
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to recommend solutions and take initiative.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively.
