Metallurgist - Technology

Carpenter Technology Corporation seeks a Metallurgist Principal Technology to provide technical services to internal and external customers, supporting the attainment of Company and division goals. The position involves technical support for Vacuum Arc Remelting, training and education of key customers, leadership of less-experienced staff, and management of project teams.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or related field
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience
• Ability to interpret internal/external business issues and recommend best practices
• Ability to effectively manage projects or teams
• Ability to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions
• Ability to provide support, leadership and guidance to peers, customers and manager in key projects and opportunities
