Carrier is seeking a Director, Category Management – Electronics to lead a team overseeing $0.7B of spend across Carrier CSA, developing and implementing a 5-year strategy for electronics categories, and managing vendor relationships to optimize affordability, availability, agility, and innovation.
Requirements
- Manage a team of category managers responsible for multiple categories
- Direct the creation of short and long-term category strategy
- Establish a cross-functional network and foster collaboration with suppliers and internal teams
- Manage external relationships with suppliers, including contract negotiations and pricing changes
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets and competitors
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to identify VA/VE opportunities and lead initiatives to drive cost-out and eliminate inefficiencies
- Manage a team of global category team leaders and require deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams
