Join Carta's Fund Administration team as a Fund Controller to support the growth of private markets. Provide strategic support to clients, implement accounting data into a general ledger system, and work with product and engineering teams to develop the Venture Capital product suite.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in the Venture Capital, Private Equity industry
- Experience maintaining, managing, and nurturing multiple client relationships
- Experience interpreting and understanding Limited Partnership Agreements, Private Placement Memorandum
- Experience reviewing financial statements and footnotes, ensuring consistency with appropriate reporting framework
- Experience in understanding, interpreting, and working on Waterfall calculations, management fees, and carried interest allocations
- Experience in working on complex entity structures and report consolidations
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Experience managing and monitoring the timely delivery of quality client deliverables
- Experience implementing accounting data into a general ledger system
- Experience supporting customers through a software platform and presenting a demo to prospective clients if necessary
- Experience leveraging technologies to automate processes and gain efficiencies
- Experience providing training and guidance to new and existing team members
- Experience with risk management, identifying risk and putting controls in place
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Private credit experience preferred
- CPA or CMA preferred
