Job Description
The Yard Supervisor role at Carter Lumber is a hybrid of administrative work and working in the lumber yard. You will be responsible for employee management, customer service, and yard operations, including hiring, communicating, disciplining, dispatching, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all yard policies are followed.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in customer service, preferably in a lumber yard
- Dispatch experience is a plus
- Ability to direct and train others effectively
- Familiarity with building materials
- Ability to be an effective team member and leader
- Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
