Job Description
Teaching role at Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, implementing the Montessori approach for Early Head Start program for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. Leads team in planning and executing activities for social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative development.
Requirements
- CDA required with Study Plan (60 CREDITS including 24 credits in Education)
- Associate Degree/Bachelor Degree/Master Degree
- N.Y.S. Initial/Professional Certification - Birth-2, with BA or Masters in related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in a pre-school classroom or infant toddler classroom
- Ability to nurture and care children from 2 months of age through 24 months of age
- Bilingual Spanish/English; Russian/English; Chinese/English; Korean/English; English/Creole speaking preferred
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Able to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed
