Job Description
Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens is seeking a full-time Early Head Start Teacher to lead the teaching team and provide developmentally appropriate activities for children from 6 weeks to age 3, following the Montessori approach.
Requirements
- CDA required with Study Plan
- Associate Degree/Bachelor Degree/Master Degree
- N.Y.S. Initial/Professional Certification - Birth-2
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in a pre-school classroom or infant toddler classroom
- Ability to nurture and care children from 2 months of age through 24 months of age
- Bilingual Spanish/English; Russian/English; Chinese/English; Korean/English; English/Creole speaking preferred
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Able to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed
