Catholic Charities is seeking a Shelter Assistant to assist clients in accordance with program objectives and ensure the smooth operation of shelter programs. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and dedicated individual who can provide support and guidance to clients, oversee daily operations, and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Requirements
- Combination of experience and education normally represented by a High School Diploma or equivalent with plus college coursework and/or technical experience
- At least 1 year of related experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License
- Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships
- Must have good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to take direction well and respectfully respond to the needs of others
- Good computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Experience with Avatar or case management software preferred
- Experience working with a team of professional staff desirable
