Job Description
The Dorm Parent is a 12-month residential life professional responsible for the safety, supervision, and development of boarding students. The role acts in loco parentis, providing care and guidance to young adults.
Requirements
- Ensure safety, security, and physical well-being of all students
- Supervise students during duty hours, including room checks and student engagement
- Maintain awareness of student whereabouts and follow check-in/check-out protocols
- Respond to emergencies and implement safety protocols
- Build connections with students, plan activities, and facilitate student development
- Support and promote the school's mission and values
- Coordinate student transportation and administer medication
- Participate in professional development and adhere to Academy policies
