Job Description
The CDC Foundation seeks a Chronic Disease Senior Epidemiologist to support the Office of Statistics and Evaluation within the Bureau of Community Health & Prevention in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The role will provide epidemiologic leadership and support to programs within the Division of Community-Based Prevention and Care, overseeing implementation of comprehensive evaluation plans, leading surveillance efforts, and executing grant evaluation activities.
Requirements
- Master of Public Health in epidemiology or biostatistics
- At least five (5) years of relevant work experience performing epidemiologic work or work in a closely related field
- Superior knowledge of epidemiology study design and statistical methodology
- Extensive experience with program evaluation design and implementation
- Experience with federal grant reporting and deliverables
- Experience conducting data analyses using SAS
- Experience linking multiple data sets
- Experience with a variety of statistical methods including multivariate linear and logistic regression
- Experience with data visualization using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or ArcGIS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail and process oriented
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with asthma and/or cancer preferred
