Job Description
The operating Mechanic B is a launching point for a long career within the gas pressure control department, with a focus on growth and development, including a specialized training plan and potential promotion to Operating Mechanic A within 18 months. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of gas regulating and monitoring equipment, as well as use of hand and power tools to service equipment and perform required maintenance associated with Con Edison's natural gas gate stations.
Requirements
- Training and certification as an Operating Mechanic A
- Knowledge of gas regulating and monitoring equipment
- Ability to perform physical labor and work at heights
