The operating Mechanic B is a launching point for a long career within the gas pressure control department.

Requirements

Operating Mechanics in this team will be enrolled in a specialized training plan with the intent to promoted to the Operating Mechanic A title by obtaining all required operator certifications within 18 months of hire.
Performs installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of gas regulating and monitoring equipment.
Use hand and power tools to service equipment.
Perform required maintenance associated with Con Edison's natural gas gate stations.
