The Senior Voice Communications Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for the architecture, modernization, resiliency, and operational excellence of enterprise voice and unified communications platforms.
Requirements
- Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and modernization of enterprise voice/UC solutions
- Serve as senior escalation lead for incidents/outages
- Provide formal supervision to engineering staff
- Direct major migration efforts
- Coordinate cross functionally with IP networking, transport, radio, AV/VC, security, and cloud collaboration teams
- Manage vendor relationships, carrier performance, advisories, and risk exposure
- Track budgets, operational spending, forecasts, and variance explanations
- Identify and implement improvements in resiliency, scalability, automation, and monitoring
- Ensure alignment with cybersecurity, monitoring, and change management practices
- Participate in on call rotation supporting 247 operations and emergency response
