05 - Machinist 1

Work as a Machinist 1 in a manufacturing environment, performing tasks such as studying blueprints, selecting and securing holding fixtures, and operating machines. Must possess specific certifications and have in-depth knowledge of machine operations and product quality issues. Four to six years of relevant experience required.

• High school diploma and additional courses after high school
• Specific certifications as defined by site operations
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of machine operations
• In-depth knowledge of product quality issues
• Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain machines and tools
• Ability to recognize and address problems in the production process
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers
