Materials Program Management

The incumbent applies in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization, working within established professional standards and practices. They work on problems of moderate scope, analyzing situations or data, and use considerable judgement to make decisions. The role requires the ability to interface cross-functionally, build relationships, and adopt a proactive approach to running the business. The incumbent may lead a work group or project team and supports new product introduction, material bid management, and customer relationship management from a Supply Chain perspective.

Requirements

• Interfaces with Business Office, Production, Procurement, Planning and customers
• Identifies business process enhancements and participates in their design and implementation
• Coordinates with planning on customer requirements, changes, and assesses costs and actual feasibility
• Supports new product introduction
• Negotiates with customers on behalf of SCM on materials management related activities
• Provides customer with technology information, supplier capabilities, and market trends
• Reviews all terms and conditions agreed to in the Celestica/Customer contract
• Identifies Celestica's SCM new product process requirements to the customer
• Coordinates Bill of Material analysis
• Manages customer relationship from Supply Chain perspective
