Production Team Leader

This job is a first-level supervisor at a large site (800 employees) supervising ~25 - 50 employees or a non-supervisory team lead of a support function. Provides direct supervision to semi-skilled employees within a single function or work group, establishes annual plans/objectives, and contributes to policy development.

• Interpret policies related to the functional area
• Contribute to policy development
• Manage budgets, schedules, and policies and procedures
• Assign tasks and check work at regular intervals
• Direct subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies
• Participate in the interviewing and hiring process
• Review employees performance and recommend employee compensation
• Coach for improved performance and recommend disciplinary action as necessary
• Approve overtime schedules and working hours
