Senior Automation Engineer

As part of the Celestica Global Automation team, the Senior Automation Engineer will design and develop automation equipment manufacturing and technologies, and provide design solution concepts to resolve complex manufacturing problems. The role will also involve collaborating with automation peers to deliver innovative automation solutions to customers.

Requirements

• Design automated/semi-automated assembly processes for different type of products
• Estimate investment cost in different scenarios
• Create URS (User Requirement and Specifications) for automated assembly processes
• Apply lean concepts as part of the methodology of the automation design solutions
• Analyze designs and systems for compliance to applicable standards
• Interface with customers, suppliers and internal teams to provide site specific automation needs
• Manage suppliers on the deliverables through the design, development and deployment of automated solutions
