Research engineer intern position at the Center for AI Safety, working on projects related to AI security, machine ethics, AI alignment, and benchmarking AI risks. The internship is unpaid, with a stipend of $9,700-$19,000 per year.
Requirements
- Current PhD student or researcher in machine learning or a related field
- Co-authored at least one paper published at a top ML conference venue
- Track record of empirical research in AI or ML, particularly in AI safety-relevant areas
- Made meaningful research contributions at a leading AI lab
- Ability to read and understand ML papers and experiments
- Familiarity with relevant frameworks and libraries (e.g., PyTorch)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
