Accounts Payable Clerk

The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to be responsible for the complete, timely and accurate payment of the Center’s OTPS expenses. Strong communication skills and ability to develop effective working relationships across the organization and with outside vendors and partners are required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit and/or government accounting, including grant and contract accounting, compliance, and reporting
• Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
• Proficient in data entry, and problem solving
• Strong communication, attention to detail and organizational skills as well as prioritization
• Highly proficient with computers, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Experience in Cloud Accounting Systems preferred
