The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Case Manager for its Transformative Reentry Initiatives program. The Case Manager will work with program participants post-release to provide meaningful connections to sustainable community-based resources. The job involves engaging with participants and their families, developing individual support plans, and providing comprehensive case management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 3-4 years of experience working in a social service setting
- Driver's license required
- Experience working in a court or criminal justice setting strongly preferred
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
- Experience with motivational interviewing and other interpersonal engagement tools
- Strong knowledge of reentry, the justice system, Staten Island community resources & support services, and/or restorative justice practices
- Think creatively and critically about their approach to helping people overcome barriers to reentry and community engagement
- Sound judgment, a trauma-informed and non-judgmental 'harm reduction' approach, excellent communication, and good organizational and multitasking abilities
