You will join the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection Unit (HSE) at CERN, supporting the organisation in implementing and enforcing its environmental policy. You will contribute to the EnNoMoS project, designing and deploying a continuous environmental noise monitoring system across CERN sites. Your responsibilities include managing and contributing to noise monitoring infrastructure, interpreting monitoring data, conducting noise surveys, and leading noise studies across environmental, building, and workplace projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in acoustics or a related field, preferably gained in consultancy or similar technical environment.
- Experience in conducting environmental noise surveys, including advanced noise monitoring techniques such as noise power level measurement.
- Experience in the setup, calibration, maintenance, and data management of continuous (24/7) monitoring systems, ensuring reliable long-term operation and data quality.
- Proficiency in analysing and visualising large datasets using tools such as Excel or Power BI.
- Hands-on experience with environmental noise modelling software, such as CadnaA.
