As an electromechanical technician, you will assemble and test cryostats and associated equipment for superconducting accelerator systems, contributing to their production, installation and maintenance, including hands-on interventions on CERN accelerators, such as the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
Requirements
- Technical certificate or general secondary education or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical manufacturing and assembly of complex electromechanical equipment, including simple conventional machining.
- Experience with procurement follow-up and inventory handling for components, spare parts and tooling.
- Experience with quality documentation, such as working with procedures, compiling tests and measurements reports, ensure traceability of components.
- Previous experience in cryogenics or superconducting systems would be an asset.
