Job Description
Join the CMS experiment Engineering & Integration team to work on the upgrade of the detector for High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) at CERN. Participate in the design, construction, and installation of new detectors and their infrastructure. Contribute to the integration and commissioning of detectors.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in the geometrical and functional integration of complex systems, using a multidisciplinary approach.
- Proven ability in designing mechanical assemblies using 3D CAD tools (preferably CATIA), and in performing thermal and structural calculations of complex mechanical structures with FEA methods (preferably Ansys).
- Strong background in writing technical specifications and following up on supplies.
- Experience in planning and coordination of activities on the field.
- Initial experience in designing and building PLC-based data acquisition and control systems (preferably using Siemens hardware).
