The Family Peer Advocate provides advocacy, education, and support to families of children with mental health, behavioral health, substance use, developmental disabilities and medically fragile challenges, helping them navigate and access community resources, services, and natural supports.
Requirements
- Personal experience as a parent or caregiver of a child with a history of emotional or behavioral challenges
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and a personal vehicle
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Credentialed Family Peer Advocate
