Job Description
The Family Peer Advocate I (or II) will empower families and assist in navigating child serving systems. This role focuses on providing support and advocating for youth and families, facilitating communication, and connecting families with necessary services. It emphasizes lived experience and flexibility, working evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by family needs.
Requirements
- Provide informational and educational support on child serving systems.
- Make referrals and linkages to needed services and resources.
- Support families in care for and strengthening their children's mental, and physical health.
- Facilitate parent training and education.
- Administer assessments and assist in planning to eliminate gap.
- Develop treatment plan and safety plan.
- Maintain client records and comply with standards.
- Obtain and maintain credential/certification
- Participate in meetings and community activities.
