Job Description
The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) is seeking a Housing Advocate to provide services at Champlain Place, a 24/7 low-barrier shelter for up to 40 individuals experiencing homelessness in Burlington, VT. The role focuses on empowering clients through secure housing, access to benefits, and connections to support services. This is an overnight shift position, starting at 12:00 am and ending at 8:00 am.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in social or human services or equivalent experience
- In-depth knowledge of homelessness, affordable housing, and related issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel within CVOEO service area
