Job Description
This part-time Athletic Assistant Coach position will work closely with the Head Coach to develop a comprehensive coaching program. The role involves skill development, practice planning, supervision of all levels of the sport, and communication with students, parents, and administration. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about athletics policies and possess a strong coaching foundation.
Requirements
- Teachers or certificated professional educators employed by the local Board of Education
- Persons certifiable as professional educators by the State Department of Education according to 13A.12.01.
- Credentialed coaches who meet the following requirement: Are eligible to hold a Maryland certificate under COMAR 13A.12.01.
- Possess a MPSSAA/MSDE Coaching Certification.
- Completed two years of successful coaching as an emergency coach.
- Spent the previous one year as a successful emergency coach at the school of hire in the position of hire.
