Job Description
The Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach will assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing an effective coaching program, focusing on individual and team growth, character development, and adhering to school and state regulations. The role involves classroom instruction, practice planning, supervision of all levels of the sport, and maintaining a safe and organized practice environment. The position emphasizes sportsmanship and a commitment to the school community.
Requirements
- Teachers or certificated professional educators employed by the local Board of Education
- Persons certifiable as professional educators by the State Department of Education according to 13A.12.01.
- Credentialed coaches who meet the following requirement: Are eligible to hold a Maryland certificate under COMAR 13A.12.01.
- Possess a MPSSAA/MSDE Coaching Certification.
- Completed two years of successful coaching as an emergency coach.
