Howden, a Chart Industries Company, is seeking a Controller to provide financial services and operational support to the Business Unit in Concord, Ontario. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining a sound internal control environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing financial analysis to enable management to better manage the division.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance
- Working knowledge of ERP project management systems and financial reporting systems (Sage / OneStream a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills to understand variances between target and actual results
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strategic leadership skills to assess business issues, develop action plans, and ensure commitment to deliver expected results
- Broad business knowledge, including understanding profitability, quality, sales, forecasting, and product development
- Ability to interact with diverse global cultures and demonstrate effective communication and team-building skills
- Positive attitude, ethics, and values to support the company's mission and high-performance culture
- Ability to commute to the plant in the Toronto area
