Job Description
The Graduate Fellow in Literary Arts serves as a key ambassador for the Chautauqua Literary Arts and its Writers’ Center programming, providing hands-on experience in literary arts administration, program support, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a graduate or doctorate creative writing program
- Exceptional research and writing skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with creative writing workshops or literary programming preferred
- Comfort with public-facing roles and event support
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with standard office and audio/visual technologies
- Professionalism, and the ability to represent and advocate for Chautauqua Institution in a conversation with program guests
- A strong interest in the intellectual work of Chautauqua, particularly its renowned Chautauqua Literary Arts programming
