Job Description
Chautauqua Institution is seeking a Group Counselor for its Boys and Girls Club summer day camp. The Group Counselor will lead camper groups, create a safe and welcoming environment, and supervise activities. Compensation starts at $16.00/Hour with the potential to earn up to $18.00/Hour.
Requirements
- Create a safe, welcoming environment
- Organize and direct camper transitions
- Lead community building initiatives
- Support special events
- Actively engage with campers
- Respond quickly and effectively in cases of emergency
- Provide additional supervision during waterfront activities
- Develop and/or facilitate activities
- Supervise camp groups for activities outside typical program spaces
- Assist with maintaining and organizing program facilities
- Communicate with families
- Manage group and individual behavior
- Understand and comply with policies and procedures
