Instrumentation & Electrical Reliability Engineer

Role Overview

The Instrumentation & Electrical Reliability Engineer will be assigned to one of three operating areas to support daily maintenance activities for I&E crews and operators. The role will drive instrument and electrical issues to root cause using a team-based approach. The E&I Engineer will provide timely, accurate analyses and recommendations for small, acute issues, as well as develop long term strategies for defect elimination and improved operations.

What You Will Do

Provide E&I engineering assistance to maintenance and operations, develop knowledge in area specific equipment, initiate management of change documents, provide technical assistance to develop and implement Mechanical Integrity/Quality Assurance, Reliability, and PPM programs, and provide technical expertise for all I&E up to 480V.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 6 months of manufacturing or industrial experience, and working knowledge of instruments, analyzers, basic electric, motors, starters, VFD, and control valves. The candidate should be able to manage and lead both strategic long-term programs/projects as well as address short-term operational issues, and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence leadership, peers, and mechanics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 6 months of manufacturing or industrial experience
• Working knowledge of instruments, analyzers, basic electric, motors, starters, VFD, and control valves
• Ability to manage and lead both strategic long-term programs/projects as well as address short-term operational issues
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas with a diverse team
• Ability to manage work and undertake multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence leadership, peers, and mechanics
