CHEO RI is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to support day-to-day research and knowledge mobilization activities. The successful candidate will have research and project management experience, and some experience in group facilitation. The position involves conducting literature searches, translating academic writing, and performing basic quantitative and qualitative analyses.
Requirements
- College or University undergraduate degree in psychology or a related health-related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Research Assistant
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant research experience within the child and youth community mental health, substance use health and addictions sector, or related sectors
- Demonstrated understanding of research design, methods, and procedures
- Data management experience
- Experience with statistical software
- Experience with qualitative data analysis software
- Demonstrated skills and experience in project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience in group facilitation
- Strong skills in both academic and plain language writing
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated collegiality, professionalism, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability working with a multidisciplinary team
