Job Title: School Administrative Assistant. Performs clerical and administrative tasks, provides functional guidance to clerical employees, and compiles special periodic reports and composes non-routine correspondence.
Requirements
- Greet and welcome visitors, answer and screen telephone calls, take messages, and assist staff, students, parents/guardians, and community members with concerns and questions.
- Schedule meetings and appointments, prepare agendas, reserve facilities, and record and transcribe minutes of meetings.
- Draft and/or type letters, memorandums, reports, and related materials, compose and type routine correspondence, and work on special projects as needed.
- Conduct research, compile and type statistical reports, and organize and maintain file system.
- Operate word processing equipment, read, route, and respond to incoming mail, and prepare outgoing mail and correspondence.
- Order and maintain supplies/inventory, arrange for equipment maintenance, and perform other duties as assigned or requested.
