Job Description
The Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to work at the Carroll-Rosenwald Specialty on the Southwest Side. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, a valid teaching license, and experience working with diverse learners. The teacher will be responsible for instructing and tracking student progress, setting goals for individualized education plans, and collaborating with case managers and counselors. The position requires a deep understanding of content, pedagogy, and student knowledge, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
- Valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
- Completion of the CPS online application and teaching profile
