Bilingual Education Teacher responsible for instruction, specialized services and support to students for developing English language skills. Provides lessons plans, evaluates student progress, and maintains accurate records.
Requirements
- Successful completion of all student teaching requirements and all course work required to obtain the appropriate teaching license(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
- Possess the appropriate Illinois State Board of Education issued educator license with a bilingual endorsement in the grade level being taught.
- Knowledge of subject matter consistent with state certification requirements, contemporary principles and practices of teaching, and classroom and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to modify instruction to meet student needs, cooperate with school faculty and administration, and work effectively with students, parents, and guardians.
- Skill in the application of contemporary principles and practices of teaching, good oral and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills.
