Job Description
Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Business Diversity Compliance Specialist to ensure compliance with Business Diversity initiatives and promote participation in public contracting and procurement of all qualified and available businesses owned and controlled by minorities and women.
Requirements
- Review each solicitation issued by the Procurement Department and ensure compliance with CPS' Remedial Program Policies.
- Review MBE and WBE plans submitted by suppliers and vendors to assist with the evaluation process for all bids, proposals, and qualifications.
- Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans within their assigned categories and users.
- Participate in pre-submittal conferences for RFPs, RFQs, and Bids.
- Provide MBE and WBEs with relevant information and assistance related to CPS procurement practices and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual program evaluation reports and scorecards.
- Provide training and assistance to CPS staff and other interested persons on Program objectives and requirements.
- Represent Chicago Public Schools Office of Business Diversity at community-based organization events, vendor fairs and other networking opportunities.
