The District Student Voice Committee (DSVC) representative will support the DSVC in developing and enhancing their student leadership skills, with the goal of advancing and strengthening student voices in their schools and the district.
Requirements
- Attend after-school bi-weekly DSVC team meetings
- Develop student leadership through sharpening confidence, communication, and facilitation skills
- Deepen understanding of community building, student voice, and CPS systems & structures
- Train in intergenerational practices to build inclusive partnerships between youth-adults
- Organize, plan, design, and execute 3 Student Voice convenings throughout the school year
- Partner with CPS leaders and departments to provide student voice and inform decision-making at different CPS Forums & Events
- Remain an active and engaged member of their school’s SVC
- Participate in Elevating Student Voice & Leadership through SVC's, including A Community of Practice in partnership with their SVC Facilitator
- Share tools and skills learned through DSVC programming to strengthen their school’s SVCs
