Job Description
Child Development and Education staff are seeking a Classroom Substitute to assist with creating a safe and developmentally appropriate program for children in Early Head Start, Head Start, and Extended Care classrooms. The role requires maintaining a professional boundary and utilizing technology to monitor and record child development. Substitutes may work in various classroom settings.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Acceptable Driving Record
- Criminal History Registry (Child Care Division) enrollment
- Current Health Appraisal (annual)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Education / equivalent experience
- 45-hour coursework completion or ability to complete within established timeframes
- One year experience working in an early childhood setting
- Competencies: Effective teacher-child interactions, curriculum implementation, boundary maintenance, data analysis and monitoring, problem-solving, teamwork, and physical stamina.
