Job Description
Seeking Family Educators to conduct parent education groups in an office, classroom setting. The program features fun activities and exercises to promote family time and positive brain development in children from birth to preschool.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in human services; or equivalent education and/or experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member
- Knowledge of child development
- Strong parenting skills, with the ability to coach on these skill areas
- Strong communication skills
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office, (Word, PowerPoint,) Outlook, and virtual platforms such as Zoom
- Ability to learn new technology and online systems quickly
- Previous experience working with culturally diverse groups, desired
- Experience in group facilitation, preferred
- Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency’s service population
