Job Description
The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) is seeking dynamic and dedicated Group Leaders to join our afterschool programs at two locations in Brooklyn, NY. Group Leaders are responsible for creating safe, engaging, and structured learning environments that support the academic and social development of elementary-aged children. They will develop and implement lesson plans, facilitate daily activities, and maintain active supervision of children.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience working with elementary-aged children in a structured educational, recreational, or youth development setting
- Strong classroom management and behavioral guidance skills
- Knowledge of positive youth development principles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bilingual language proficiency (PS 160: Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Fujianese); PS 255: Russian, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), or Spanish)
