The Director - Operations is a champion of the site wide Operations Strategy. Responsible for partnering with all functions within the business to Develop, Drive, and Implement core business management system and achieve set Objectives. Provides leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the Plant which include Safety, CIRCOR Operating System (COS), Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Assembly testing, Inventory Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management & Human Resources.

- Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the Plant which include Safety, CIRCOR Operating System (COS), Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Assembly testing, Inventory Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management & Human Resources.
- Responsible to achieve set Operational objectives (monthly and yearly).
- Work closely with all the Functional Leaders of plant to achieve Effective Operational Efficiency, Develop and Improve plant Capacity & Capability and Effective utilization of Human Resources and Equipment
- Develop, Maintain and Improve Continuous Improvement (CI) culture in the plant.
- Drive and Improve Safety throughout the plant – all functions and processes. Ensure Zero accident, Encourage Proactive Observations and quick remedial and compliance with all the policies.
- Develop and Execute plant related CAPEX and other Budget including workforce requirements.
- Monitor and Control OPEX related Cost while maintaining Product Quality and Customers On Time Delivery.
- Effective Support for Product related Growth initiatives – Localization / Development / VAVE etc.
- Work closely with Supply chain team to Develop strong Supply chain function and vendor base, which includes High Quality of the Supply and improves On Time Deliveries of the Vendors and Year over Year Material Productivity
- Work closely with Quality Team to develop and implement Quality Assurance to reduce COPQ and Customer rework / rejections.
- Spend Quality time for Talent Recruitment, Development and Retention; Effectively support for recruitment process.
- Keep the Plant team Motivated, Engaged and Empowered.
- Conduct periodic Performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all Operation
- Ensure compliances to Organization’s Values, Ethics & Compliances and Policies, Factory Act and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Select, develop, motivate, and nurture employees within respective areas. Conduct team performance management (set KPIs targets, appraisal). Build good Teamwork.
- Good understanding of Financials including P&L, Balance Sheet, Working Capital Management, Absorptions, Costs Structure of the Plants and Products, and Techniques of Cost Outs and Cost Avoidances and other financial parameters that are important for the Company and focused into, as appropriate, from time to time.
- Decent understanding of the 80:20 Principle of Customers Differentiations, Products Portfolio Rationalizations and Resources Management
- Coordinate with other departments for product/sales-related issues and overall strategy development
- Support the Organizations for recruitment drive for Graduate Trainee Engineer programs and Sales/Service teams’ members, as & when demand arises.
- Coordinate with other departments for product & service-related issues and their Resolutions
- Maintaining critical suppliers’ relationship in coordination with SCM & helping in source identification/vendor development, negotiations for outsourcing wherever required on case-to-case basis
- Leading & supporting Company actions enhancing brand image and market share through advertisements, trade fairs, seminars
- Contribution for product improvisation through VAVE, Process Improvisation through VSMs and Continuous Improvements through Kaizen events
