Job Description
Denver Parks and Recreation is seeking MY Denver Youth Instructors to instruct, plan, and implement organized recreation activities and enrichments for youth throughout the MY Denver network of programs. This is an on-call position with competitive pay and great benefits, working at least 20 hours per week and no more than 39 hours per week.
Requirements
- Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions
- Knowledge of basic fundamentals and techniques of athletics, fitness, cultural/social activities and/or arts and crafts
- Knowledge of inventory techniques
- Knowledge of the techniques, principles and regulations of recreation, day care and sports programs
- Understanding of age and ability appropriate activities and crafts
- Current CPR, First Aid and Standard Precautions
- Strong de-escalation and redirection skills
